roving jay

an invaluable guide to all of the bodrum peninsula, read it all in one sitting, jay obviously has real passion for the area, the guide covers everything from history of the area, a comprehensive guide to towns and villages, including several nuggets not found in your average guide.

This isnt just an overview, its a comprehensive guide by someone who clearly loves the area and whether you are staying all inclusive and wanting a heads up for where to spend a few hours, self catering with several reccomendations for places to eat, things to do for young and old.

Honest opinions so that you can make informed decisions on places to stay, things to do etc or backpacking on a tight budget this is the definitive guide to the bodrum peninsula

Must Have

This guide should be your first and last travel guide to the Bodrum Peninsula. I’m lucky enough to be quite familiar with the area. But this ebook taught me a massive amount. An invaluable travel companion.

Turkish delight

This guidebook is a delight to read. Written by somebody who clearly loves the area, it is brimming with practical advice to help you plan your holiday and get the most out of it, and also personal experience that gives you an insight into the true character of all the places described.

By the time you’ve read it you’ll feel you’re there already and you’ll be deciding where to eat, what to eat, which boat trips to go on and which markets to visit. You could not wish for a more enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining guide than Jay Artale.

Brilliant book

What a real gem! This book is full of really useful local information specifically aimed at the bodrum peninsular. It gives local bus times, recommends restaurants, (photographs of menu’s and prices particularly useful!) The information is written in a very friendly way, almost like chatting to a friend about where the best places are to visit.

Great little ebook!

Well worth the money, I downloaded the kindle app for my phone & used this quite successfully!

My only gripe is the google maps locations are a good idea but you’ll need 3G enabled when wandering around which will prove to be very very expensive when roming, which did render them a bit useless unless you could hook up to free wifi in bars of which there’s loads.

Great guide.Exactly what we needed

We have booked to go to the area in October(Yalikavak) and was searching for a guide of the peninsula but most of the books did not meet our needs despite the high costs so we were delighted when this guide became available and have skipped through it twice and are now looking at it more closely and planning our holiday.

It does not go into pages of endless boring details like some guides and tells us exactly what we want to know about transport, what and where to eat at all the places we intend to visit, where to shop, markets, what to see at each location etc.etc

All in all a great guide and have no hesitation giving it full marks!

Quite a Coup

Despite being one of the best trodden tourist trails in Turkey, there are few, if any, comprehensive guidebooks to the Bodrum Peninsula. Until now, that is. Meticulously researched, well written and easy to navigate, the Bodrum Peninsula Travel Guide is an all-inclusive compendium, covering everything that a visitor needs to know about this gorgeous little corner of Turkey.

Even those who are well-acquainted with the area will find some surprising little nuggets. The author has pulled off quite a coup.

Brilliant guide book, in fact the only in depth guide I found

Just got back from Bodrum Peninsular this guide was so helpful only wish I could have bought it in book format as I like to flick backwards and forwards through a guide book, however still the only guide I could find with any depth of information, brilliant and very up to date info.

Really helpful insider’s guide to the peninsula

We found some wonderful places to go and places to eat with this guide which is clearly written with great and detailed knowledge and love of the peninsula. If only all areas of Turkey had a guide like this! Well worth the investment before your holiday.

We didn’t buy any other travel books for our holiday apart from this!

A fantastic little book absolutely packed with hints, tips, guides and ideas for your visit to the Bodrum Peninsula. I had this on my phone and consulted it before we left for holiday and also during our trip. There’s so much info in here for just a few quid – it’s amazing value and totally up to date too.

The tip about how to get an e-visa before going meant that we waltzed through passport control at Bodrum airport whilst everyone else on our plan had to queue up to fill out their visas! We also planned a lot of activities from suggestions in the book and felt we had a bit more insider knowledge than if we’d just bought a regular travel book. it was like having an English friend who knew everything about our Turkish locale on hand with tips and suggestions. Highly recommended.
