Jay the Travel Writer, Indie Author-Publisher
In 2008, Jay became a frequent visitor to the Bodrum Peninsula along Turkey’s Aegean coastline.
Despite its popularity with Turkish and international visitors, and a destination for expatriates looking for their very own place in the sun; well-researched and comprehensive guides to the Peninsula were thin on the ground.
She conducted intensive research to plug this gap in the market and set about capturing the local area in words and pictures.
What began life as travel tips and observations, has grown into a well-respected and popular travel brand.
Jay's "The Bodrum Peninsula Travel Guide: Turkey’s Aegean Gem" was released on Amazon, Smashwords, Nook and iBooks on May 31st 2013, and provides visitors with an insiders view of the local area.
A year later "The Gumusluk Travel Guide: Bodrum's Silver Lining" was released exclusively on Amazon, and encourages visitors to get off the beaten track. This in-depth travel guide focuses on a fishing village with historical importance located within Turkey's Bodrum Peninsula. Jay is currently writing her third travel guide aimed at the visitors to Bodrum looking for an authentic local experience in a limited amount of time.
As well as continuing to grow her popular Travel Guide series, Jay is also working on her first Step by Step Social Media Guide. The first book in the series is "Pinterest For Authors: How to Build your Brand with Pins and Boards" which leverages her experience working with the winners of her monthly Pinterest For Authors Sweepstake.
Jay is also working on her labour of love "Sugar Cubes under a Mavi Sky" which is her working title for her Memoir about buying a house in Turkey.
